Our new travel show will take real-life grandparents and their grandchildren on the trip of a lifetime!
Heard the news? Grandparents.com is holding an open casting call for our upcoming reality show! Grandest Adventures: Alaska will feature real-life grandparents and their grandchildren on a once-in-a-lifetime cruise vacation from Alaska to Vancouver, capturing their close, special bond.
Adventuresome, energetic grandparents and grandchildren who aren’t afraid of the camera. Here are some tips to catch our attention:
Don’t hesitate to be funny in your application. A sense of humor is key when you’re at sea with your grandchild — and a production crew.
Tell us what makes you (and your relationship with your grandchild) unique. While we want to feature families who have closeness and affection in common, we’re looking for a range of different backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints.
Take some time to find the right photo! Haven’t got one pic that represents who you are as a family? Take a new one.
Better yet, submit a video. Enlist a friend or other family member to shoot — make sure there’s plenty of light, and use a tripod to curb shakiness. Keep it short and sweet. Grab our attention right away, and keep it!
Show, don’t tell. If there is a great story that illustrates the nature of your relationship, share it! An engaging anecdote will tell us more than simply, “My grandson and I have a great relationship.”
