Give your own brain a boost while playing mind games with your grandchildren.
The primer for your grandchild’s future as a secret agent is also a fun memory booster for you. Based on the popular book series, I Spy Private Eye is a Boggle-like board game where nine “picture cubes” (dice with icons rather than dots) are shaken in a little domed container. The cubes are then revealed for 30 seconds and the players try to memorize which random pictures landed faceup. Once the cubes are covered up again, each player pulls a card featuring another set of pictures, and makes matches based on the strength of his or her own short-term memory and observational skills. Simple enough, but equally challenging for kids 5 and older, and for adults who forget little things like where they parked the car, put their sunglasses, and so on.
