Hi, I'm new to this site and have 3 granchildren ages 1, 10 & 12. I have not seen or heard from them going on 1 year now. I tried to extend the olive branch numerous times but was ignored. My daughter holds a grudge for no reason and it can last a lifetime with her. This is what she is teaching her kids to do also. Does anyone have this same problem? anitatanner@yahoo.com

I have not had this problem, but I am so sorry to hear you are going through this, Hopefully she will see it isn't right to keep grandchildren away from their grandparents. Once you are gone it will be too late for her to regret what she is doing to you and her children. I hope eventually and soon she see the wrong doing in all this.

Thank you for your kind words. I think the same way about when it's too late. Every day that goes by, I miss all of the interactions with them that make beautiful memories. Thanks for responding

I am a mom who had a similar problem with my mother in law, although I never tried to keep the kids from her, I do know the pain in which you are feeling. May I ask what happened that she was angry. Sometimes, if it was her doing, pride may be getting in the way. In my situation, my mother in law hated me and even though I am/was a good mom, she wanted to raise my kids her way. She tried to take them and when she couldn't did some very horrible things to spite me. There has to be a way that you can get through to her, what about the dad, do you get along with him, or is he on her side? I understand if those questions are too personal. I wish you luck. Children do need their grandparents
