What is the greatest thing about being a grandparent?

Right now it's the anticipation. The baby is due next week! Actual due date is the 21st but they may induce on the 20th...They weren't able to get a clear sonogram(?) to find out whether it was a boy or girl and made the decision to leave it that way. That makes it a Christmas surprise!

I'm probably what you'd call a renaissance person. I love painting, music and theater. Usually a very upbeat person (hopefully without being annoying...). My family is very, very important to me. My husband and I have been married for 34 years and, except for the first 3 years when he was in the military, we have lived around our home town. We have one daughter who is (of course) absolutely the greatest!
