What is the greatest thing about being a grandparent?
My son, daughter-in-law and grandson live with my husband and myself, so unlike alot of grandparents, I get to see my grandson on a daily basis. The greatest thing about being a grandparent is the unconditional love and trust that one's grandchild has in you. I just melt when my 20 month old grandson takes my face in his hands and just looks at me and smiles. And I love the way he smells after having a bath. Ahhhhh
If you want to get to know me, I would start by telling you...
I've been happily married for almost 33 years and have one son, the father of my grandchild. I am a nurse and just changed jobs after 37 years of working in the ER of a local hospital. I am now working in a VA clinic a few miles away.
I love to read, although my time is limited. James Patterson is one of my favorite authors and I subscribe to many, many magazines. Tend to fall behind though on the reading. My husband and I enjoy going to Atlantic City, which is only an hour away from where we live. We tend to make more deposits than withdrawals. : ) I have fibromyalgia and arthritis so sometimes it's a bit hard to keep up with an active 20 month old. But I seem to feel a bit better when I'm with my grandson.
